The Health Visiting team attached to the practice are based at The Willows Children, Young People and Family Centre, Glencaple Road, Dumfries, DG1 4TG
and can be contacted directly on 01387 220009

Health visitors are: Fiona Paton, Rosie McQuarrie and Lesley Martin

There is a Drop in clinic in Gillbrae Medical Practice on Thursdays 1.30pm - 3.00pm

The health visiting (or public health nursing) team's remit is to support families with children up to school age. All new mums and babies are visited at home in the early weeks, and contacts thereafter can take place at home or by phone.
The health visiting team can offer support in the following areas:

Referral to other agencies e.g. speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, educational visitor, child smile, podiatry, parenting groups, home support project and social work.
