Our full-time clinical pharmacist is Dawn Anderson. Dawn consults Monday to Friday. She is joined by her colleague, Nicole Kerr, every Wednesday. They are supported by the Pharmacy Technician team based in the local Pharmacy Hub.
Their role includes
- Dealing with medication queries from patients via face-to-face or telephone consultation
e.g. supply issues, compliance issues, queries following hospital discharge - Advising on supply issues, compliance issues and queries following hospital discharge
- Initiation and Review of Inhalers
- Liaising with Community Pharmacies
- Management of Hypertension
- Medication Reviews
- Special requests for Acute Use Medications
- Treatment of Urinary Infections in Adult Females 18-65
